"ITG and Polaris share a common goal: to leverage the combined power of our companies for the benefit of our customers," said Shai Robkin, president and CEO of Integrated Technology Group. "Working together, ITG and Polaris will ensure interoperability between our respective systems and deliver enhanced capabilities that neither company can offer independently."
Customers using both ITG and Polaris self-checkout solutions will benefit from the partnership. ITG will provide key hardware and software components that work with and enhance the capabilities of Polaris patron management and circulation data software. Polaris will now offer enhanced ExpressCheck™ software compatible with ITG's electromagnetic security, RFID and security case unlocking capabilities, in addition to expanded furniture options for the station. And customers can expand their systems to include ITG's Apex XpressCheck™ self-service kiosk, Vista Sorting™, and Automated Materials Handling (AMH) systems – all fully compatible with Polaris software components.
"Our partnership with ITG opens up a lot of doors for our customers," said Bill Schickling, president and CEO of Polaris. "Not only can customers purchase a range of RFID products through Polaris, but this partnership also enables us to immediately offer a self-check solution with security and with the ability to open lock box cases."
"We are also committed to working with ITG to develop a self-check solution that includes an interface to our ExpressCheck™ software," he added. "This will provide Polaris customers with the full benefits of our ExpressCheck™ product, plus all of the hardware features that ITG is known for, including security and RFID."
