"It's great to be able to customize the Polaris checkout screen with patron data elements of our choice. It maximizes the efficiency of the checkout process. And with 15 agencies circulating over 7.1 million items per year, it matters."

- Eva Calcagno, Manager, Washington County Cooperative Library Services, Oregon

Polaris Library Systems Announces New Hires in Implementation Services

Syracuse, NY, August 12, 2008 - Polaris Library Systems, a leading provider of library automation technology, announced today the addition of two new implementation managers to the customer operations department.

Robert Moon joins Polaris with extensive experience in project management, implementations, and software integration. Prior to joining Polaris, Robert served in various management positions at SirsiDynix including implementations, integration and delivery services. Most recently, Robert served as a project data analyst at Jacobs Engineering.

Mary Wood comes to Polaris with over 8 years of experience managing implementations for SirsiDynix. Mary also held a position as a documentation specialist for SirsiDynix. Prior to joining Polaris, Mary also served as implementation specialist at Patient Care Technologies and as a research associate and project manager for Essex Corporation

In their roles at Polaris, Robert and Mary will be responsible for managing new customer transitions from their existing Integrated Library Systems (ILS) to the Polaris ILS.

“It’s critical that we make the transition to Polaris a positive experience for customers,” said Brad Rogers, director of implementation services. “Both Rob and Mary bring extensive knowledge of the library automation industry and combined experience in managing several hundred ILS implementations. We are confident they will provide the high degree of professionalism and focus on customer support that Polaris is known for.”
